Sept 2019 - Current
Responsible for the cyber operations, inspection, and maintenance of the Defense Information System Agency Multi-Protocol Label Switch (MPLS) routing network architecture supporting over 3,000 customers within the South East Region. Managed and maintained over 50 network infrastructure circuits and 20 network security devices performing security inspections in accordance with the SECNAV 5510.30/36.
June 2017- Sept 2019
Responsible for the coordination and execution of cyber operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting of multiple computer network systems in direct support of Chief of Naval Operations. Led operational planning teams to address field and base concerns with minimal delays. Oversaw gathering of intelligence and combat information to support troops on the ground. Worked closely with team members to deliver project requirements, develop solutions, and meet deadlines. Provided effective resolutions to issues and escalated problems with knowledgeable support and quality service. Improved job tasks and mentoring junior team members on best practices and standards. Submitted recommendations regarding infrastructure overhauls. Promoted continuous improvement for IT governance processes. Increased system security and performance with proactive changes. Leading technician in developing services and programs to support the contingency operation communication suite. Work closely with commanders to identify and maximize opportunities to use information and technology to improve emergency network connectivity. Review, analyze, and create detailed documentation of business system’s needs, including computer communications, satellite maintenance, functions, and software suite. As Navy Region Southwest (NRSW) Electronic Key Material System (EKMS) Local Element Custodian. Provided exceptional training/support to over 25 COMSEC users on 8 different installations. Establish new personnel accounts on coordinated and scheduled monthly/annual COMSEC user training in the effort to increase overall knowledge and COMSEC awareness and reduce EKMS classified administrative errors and practices dangerous to security (PDS). Additional training also consisted of: the expert use and proper operation of COMSEC equipment (i.e., Simple Key Loader (SKL), AN/CYZ-10 Data Transfer Device (DTD), Secure Telephone Equipment (STE), secure phone, KSV-21, KIV-7 series. Responsible for handling, receipt, issuing, disposition, and safeguarding for all COMSEC cryptographic documents, devices and equipment including all forms of secured communications. Performs periodic destruction and inventory of COMSEC material and equipment, to include, Quarterly self-assessments. Able to review and prepare efficiently required Standard Form (SF-153’s).Provides periodic Secret Internet Protocol Router Network (SIPRNET) and Video Teleconferencing Communications (VTC) COMSEC keying material loading operations for Navy Region Southwest.

Perform in multidimensional role as Information Assurance Technician (Level 2) and Training Officer in support of Naval Computer and Telecommunications Area Master Station (NCTAMS) Atlantic Detachment missions, goals, and objectives. Provide Information Assurance expertise and oversight to prioritize and manage the Department of Defense Information Certification and Accreditation (DIACAP) Information Assurance Tracking System (IATS) DoD Enterprise Mission Assurance Support System (EMASS) certification and accreditation process (C&A) of networks, to include but not limited to Unclassified, Secret, and Special Access Program networks. Coordinate with the organization's Security Manager to ensure issues affecting the organization's overall security are addressed appropriately. Develop and maintain an IA program that identifies the IA architecture, IA requirements, IA objectives, IA policies, IA personnel, IA processes, procedures and functional training. Ensure the development and maintenance of IA certification documentation according to DoD Instruction 8510.0. Maintain a repository for all IA certification and accreditation documentation and configuration management. Training officer duties included the management of 25 personnel enrolled into the cyber security workforce (CSWF) and privileged users. Provided the necessary technical and IA training in accordance with DoD 8570 mandate to include network security, IP telephony, DoD Security Technical Implementation Guide(STIG) and DoD Gold disk scanning and remediation tools. Provided technical training and certification to carry out duties in their respective IAT and IAM levels.
